Fran Hintsa Memorial Garden, Newton
Designers
Sarah Kish
and
Janice Reilly
have completed a landscape design for Community Living Network’s newest
affordable housing in
Newton
for low income elder adults. The front garden, named in honor of a
supporter, will be a destination for residents, provide outdoor experiences, and
connect residents with the neighbors passing by.

A rambling Victorian house near
Newton
Center
will become affordable housing for seniors. Occupancy date is
expected to be fall 2005.
|

Eric Hintsa, Fran Hintsa’s son, directs volunteers in the
identification of choice and treasured perennials and shrubs from his
mother’s garden. The plants will be re-located to a new garden
at the CLN housing site next door as soon as construction is
completed.
|

Virginia Robinson, the CLN volunteer spearheading the landscape
initiative, has been the liaison with COG’s designers.

A young umbrella pine will become part of the new

if determined volunteers (
