| Espousal Center, Waltham – The staff of this
retreat center and residence for the Stigmatine Order
asked for short and long range improvements to the 80 acre
site. Landscape Institute design student Patricia
McGinnis developed a master plan as her thesis
project to include circulation, environmental initiatives,
and community programming. The Garden Club
Federation of Massachusetts sponsored the project.

the old stone walls of a neglected formal garden, landscape
designer Judi Lipson-Rubin created a contemplative space for
those attending programs and retreats. She also supervised
