Dorchester Historical Society -
The Dorchester Historical Society wanted the grounds of its historic Clapp family properties to function as a living symbol of its mission to preserve and interpret one of Boston’s earliest and most dynamic neighborhoods. The designers, Jean Cavanaugh and Virginia Stewart, developed a master plan and recommendations for landscape treatments that can accommodate a wide range of educational and community programming. The plan proposes ten (10) distinct micro-environments and landscape elements to be introduced to the property which can be implemented in phases.
