Description
Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Boston –
Landscape designer Joan Smith developed a healing garden,
Asclepios Garden, on the hospital’s roof patio as her
Landscape Institute thesis project.
Lahey Clinic, Burlington – Staff members
interested in alternative/holistic medicine wanted to create
meditative spaces to be used as healing tools for patients,
their families, and the staff. Landscape designer Catherine
Wiersema, as her Landscape Institute thesis project, created
plans and models of the gardens for use by the hospital's
Development Office. >
